  1. My first quiche! Delicious and easy. I added a small red bell pepper and two green onions and an extra egg. I put tin foil on for the 45 minutes and cooked it another 20 without the tinfoil. Turned out perfect. Can't wait to try it out with other ingredients.

  2. This was an outstanding quiche! I did alter the recipe a bit: I added an extra egg and substituted heavy cream for the milk (keeping the amt. the same) and this gave it a thicker texture. I also added 1 roma tomato (seeded). Very good! A great way to use up leftover Christmas ham! I only made one, but will be sure to prepare 2 next time! Thanks!

  3. Our entire family LOVED this! But, since there's 6 of us I used 6 eggs, 1 1/2 cups ham, and 1 1/2 cups cheese, and then cooked it for about 15 minutes longer with foil on top to prevent burning. Thanks so much for the great recipe - kids are already asking when we can have this again!!!

  4. Delicious and so easy. My only change was adding a little bit of swiss cheese in with the cheddar. I brought it into work and everyone loved it!!

  5. This recipe is fantastic just as it is. My husband loved it. It is also a great recipe to play with. Tonight I'm adding a bit of sauteed mushroom, onion and spinach along with the ham.

Tweaks

  1. Such a great and simple recipe! I tweaked it by adding green onion, and next time might add other vegetables like bell pepper, tomatoes, and mushrooms.

  2. Not the first time, but, I am tweaking with mushrooms, onion and spinach with a dash of nutmeg this time. I'll let you know.

  3. Ok, so I wanted to test out my new Jovial Einkorn flour for holiday pie crusts and decided to try making quiche for dinner. I had some leftover ham and half an onion in the fridge. I decided to saute them with some diced onion and sprinkled on some tarragon as it goes well with eggs. I also used Tillamook cheese (our absolute favorite cheddar). All-in-all, those are the changes! How much tarragon, I eye balled it! Maybe 1/2-1 teaspoon, the onion was about 1/4 of a tennis ball size, salt and pepper to taste. I mixed a little cheese in my ham and onion after it cooled (while I was making the crust), filled the crust with my ham and onion mixture and poured the egg and milk mixture overtop. I then topped it all with more cheese! We like cheese. Since I used a Tart pan, my quiche was not super thick and only needed 30-min in the oven on 350. The comments here at home were, "Mmmmmm, this is good mom!" And from hubs, "Babe, you rock. Can I have seconds?"

  4. I usually make a recipe the first time exactly as written. This time though I did substitute. I'm on Keto so I replaced the milk with the exact amount of heavy cream. Luscious!

  5. Great quiche. I added fresh broccoli, mushrooms, and onions. Family loved it.
