  1. Boil the dates, margarine and sugar together.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add the egg and mix it in very quickly before the heat of the mixture cooks it.
  4. Add the cookie crumbs.
  5. With wet hands form the mixture into balls.
  6. Roll in coconut and chill in refrigerator.
