1. This is a very basic waffle recipe. It was okay. I would use this recipe again if pressed for time. But since we have waffles so rarely I need to manage my time better. So I can fix them the richer and lighter waffles that they like.

 2. Awesome waffles. I made 1/2 a batch and ended up with 2 1/2 large waffles. I added vanilla and used vanilla sugar. It worked great in this recipe. I put the waffle maker on its highest setting and ended up with crisp, tender waffles. Garnished with butter, icing sugar and blueberry syrup. Thanks for sharing this lovely recipe.

 3. This was super easy to make, but I agree with kenjenh that it needs salt, and maybe a little less sugar. They cooked great and were light and fluffy, but defiantly needed salt.

 4. Am i missing something here? I am not a cook by any stretch of the imagination (ie cookies/eggs/pancakes), but no salt?
These tasted horrible. I added salt and they were better.
I'd be interested why so many people seemed to like these.

 5. These waffles were very dense and tasted like custard. I thought they were divine! Don't forget the vanilla and you will not be disappointed. I served them buttered with pure maple syrup, freshly whipped cream and bananas. Delicious!!

Hi there. :) What a great site! I am 36 and have been married 15 years. I'm a stay at home mom with two busy children who are like night and day. One eats everything and the other is extremely picky. Just about everything I've learned about cooking and baking has been tought to me by my sister Gayle who is a fantastic cook. :) I have a couple favorite cookbooks I use, the "Joy of Cooking" and Betty Crocker's "New Cookbook-Everything you need to know to cook." They've both been very helpful.
