  1. This recipe was very good and so close tasting to the original bought brand. However, I did use 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and a Tablespoon of honey. Felt it needed just a touch of sweetness. Will keep this on hand, rather than buy.

  2. With out anchovies or fish sauce and tamarind paste, this is a bland and boring substitute. Worcestershire is traditionally a fermented fish based sauce. Google Lee and Perkins recipe for something with flavour

  3. I use Worcestershire sauce quite a bit for roasts and soups, so I was happy to find a recipe to save a little money. Worcestershire sauce can be so pricey at the supermarket. From the moment the heat turned up, I knew it was going to be a great sauce. Another poster asked what's the reason for heating this up and I believe that when dry spices are heated, they release more flavor. This one is a keeper.

  4. I'm another one with nothing to really compare it to. But it worked well in a Vegan Loaf recipe I had! Nice flavor.

  5. Does the trick in a pinch

Married mother of twins. I very seldom ever use recipes as they are written, always modifying and adjusting them. Many times I will take three or four different recipes and come up with a new recipe based on those. <img src="http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e347/Saturn6666/KiwiDutch/3chefstag1.jpg">
