  1. Just made this tonight and all the guys raved! I did not have the tomatoes, so I added a 15 oz can of tomato sauce in place of it, and it was delicious! I made sure to cover the dish with foil so the noodles did not dry out. Will definitely add this to my "regular" recipes!

  2. This was great! Will be a regular from now on for us, next time I'm going to add some mushrooms. Thanks for posting. =)

  3. Not just Husband's Delight, also my Wife's Delight. The family loved it. I added a tsp. of Garlic Salt and think I'll add the mushrooms next time. Maybe some sliced olives too.

  4. I made this last night, and we all really liked it. I used a covered casserole dish, and added garlic with the ground beef, and our DD added garlic salt at the table. I probably will also add mushrooms next time. I liked that it was simple and easy to make, and that it took on-hand ingredients. I put it together, had the oven preheated, and then just popped it in the oven for 30 minutes when my family got home. We will be making this one again!

  5. I just made this for supper tonight and found it to be very tasty. I also added tomato sauce instead of tomatoes because my boys would faint if they actually see a piece of tomato. When I browned the ground beef, I added some mince garlic. Even my picky son ate three helping of this dish. Thanks for posting.

Tweaks

  1. This really is a husband's delight. My husband ate almost the whole pan himself. I liked it, but next time I think I'll saute the onion with the beef instead of mixing it raw with the sour cream. Quick, easy, and tasty, will do again.

  2. I made this recipe but used canned spaghetti sauce instead of tomatoes and added olives and mushrooms. My husband and I love this dish.

  3. This is great. I sauteed 16 oz. of fresh mushrooms with garlic before adding the meat. I think I'll add a can of tomato sauce next time. You could add salsa instead of the diced tomatoes for a Tex Mex flavor or use ground lamb and crumble some feta into it for a Greek-style dish. Very versatile. Thanks!

  4. This is a great recipe - my family and I enjoyed this recipe very much. The only substitute I made was to use tomato soup for the diced tomatoes, as it increased the kid-friendliness level (plus DS and DH will not eat anything with visible tomato pieces).
