Tweaks

  1. Made a second batch with minced onion and finely diced jalapeño and it was delicious.

  2. Great hush puppies! I made half the recipe, using the egg white only. Also subbed onion powder for onion salt, and I think they could've used a pinch of salt to make up for that substitution. Definitely will be my go to hush puppy recipe!

  3. My man and i made these together for the first time ever. they were great! used regular yellow onion instead of green onion. added 1t old bay seasoning. also added about 1/2c or so of beer and a lil more flour and cornmeal to get it back to a thicker consistancy. i also think we used milk in place of buttermilk as we didn't have any of that either. Delicious. my cat even had a few pieces!!

  4. These are great! I added about 3/4 c. of diced sweet onion instead of green onions and about 2 diced/seeded jalepeno peppers. They turned out just right.

  5. Chosen for ZWT game, sooooo good, I added in some grated Parmesan cheese and used garlic powder in place of the onion powder, fluffy and so delicious, thanks, Nims, great recipe!...Kitten:)

It's just a tad boring now and just another recipe site like all the rest. Sad.
