Icing's In The Cake

"Yellow cake mix and a can of icing are mixed together with the rest of the ingredients to create a super easy and delicious cake. Number of servings is a guess. You can also experiment with different flavor combinations. Yum!"

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 34 cup oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can caramels or 1 can coconut pecan frosting

directions

  • Mix all ingredients well.
  • Spray a bundt pan very well with Pam.
  • Pour in batter and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
  • Just in case your Bundt pan is smaller than normal, be sure that you have at least an inch of space between batter and top of pan.

  1. Note: This cake should be mixed by hand and not using an electric mixer. The mixer incorporates too much air and causes the cake to overflow the pan. Also, you need a 12 cup bundt pan for this. Enjoy!
     
  2. I have made this several times trying different techniques of mixing it. The best way I have found for myself is to beat the eggs with a whisk then whisk in the frosting. Add the oil and milk and lastly the cake mix. If the cake mix is really lumpy then I have sifted the mix to get the lumps out. It is a wonderful recipe and the combinations are endless.
     
  3. This was easy to prepare, although it took some mixing to get the lumps out of the batter and the frosting mixed in well without using a mixer. But the result was wonderful. I used a Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake mix with a Chocolate Frosting. It is so moist and delicious! Thanks for sharing your recipe Marie!
     
  4. DO NOT sub can of carmel icing for can carmels or coconut pecan icing. what a mess!!!
