  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut each date in half crosswise, leaving a hole in the center. Lay a pineapple chuck into the center of each half slice of date and wrap with a half of a bacon slice. Sticking with a wooden tooth pick to hold together. Place in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish and cook for 30 minutes; drain excess fat.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl and pour over rumaki; tossing lightly to coat with sauce. Bake for 30 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Pour rumaki and sauce into a shallo decorative bowl. Serve hot.
