1. This was superb! Worth 25 stars. I only had a 3 pound cross rib roast so I used that. I started the roast at 7:00 at night and it was finished at 2:00 in the morning I was tired but it was worth waiting up for. The jus sauce, consomme and salad dressing had a perfect taste combination and made the roast so tender. My bh and I had the roast on some crusty rolls with mozzarella cheese and caramelized onions baked in foil at 350 for 10 minutes. These sandwiches would put any sub shop to shame. My bh kept saying these are sooo good and I just kept eating until my belly wanted to bust. Thanks ever so much. This will become a regular in my house.

 3. I made this a few days before the Super Bowl and let it sit in the frig! Butter and broiled some hoagie rolls with a little onion powder. Then the beef and provolone cheese and back under the broiler until the cheese melted. Served with au jus to dip into and DH was in heaven. Delish!

 4. I have used this recipe many times, the kids love it, their friends even ask me to make it when they come over. Great inexpensive meal for a large family! Great on crusty rolls with the au jus as a dipping sauce, throw a little mozzerella or swiss on top to melt and the sandwichs are perfect!

 5. We did beef on a bun for our first neighbors in our home Xmas party and this was very tasty. We cooked a 20 lb inside roast, used 3 pkgs each of seasonings, 3 cans consomme and cooked at 275F for 7-8 hrs?

I am a mother of three and live in central Pennsylvania. My children were very active in after school activities and found we weren't spending anytime together at meal time. In 1998, I decided to start cooking my dinners in a crockpot so that we could have a home cooked meal together once everyone came home. My children now get so excited to see what we are having to eat and love the smell when they walk in the door. My family calls me the crock pot queen. LOL I use my crock pot everyday of the year.

My three children are now in college and before they come home they request their favorite meal. I still continue to cook in the crock pot for my husband and I. It is nice after a long day to know your meal is ready. It also helps in keeping my grocery bill down. With zaar, I can print my shopping list and that is all I purchase is the ingredients on that list.

Now, my two daughters have been crock pot cooking while in college. They find it is easy to cook for the themselves and their friends. It is an easy way to have friends over for dinner after classes

I still love trying new recipes and purchasing cookbooks, especially crock pot cookbooks.

Happy Cooking!
