Italian Herb Rolls

"I got this recipe from my daughter-in-law who was trying to impress me... She did. When I made them, it seemed that the dough was not very elastic and was worried about it being to dense. It does turn out ok though. After forming the rolls, there is no need to let the dough rise a second time before baking."

  1. Loved these rolls!! So simple to make. I loved that I could use the bread machine, saving myself some time to do other cooking. After forming the rolls, I covered them and let raise for an hour before baking since they were small. They baked beautifully. Wonderful crust on the outside, delicious flavor. Will be making again.

  4. Absolutely fabulous rolls! I used the bread machine on dough cycle and then shaped into 6 long rolls for sandwiches. I sprinkled sesame seeds on half of them. I did let them rise again for an hour, only because they were kind of small for what I needed them for...they rose beautifully. Mine only needed 20 minutes in the oven. They smelled and tasted heavenly. My family said they were the best sandwiches they ever had and it was because of the rolls. Thanks so much for sharing this awesome recipe! P.S. Next time I will try putting a tray of water in the oven while the rolls are baking to achieve a crustier crust :)

  5. I thought these were delicious, haven't got a breadmaker and so asapted the recipe for hand-made. The mix of seasoning was spot on! Will be making again!

I am married and have three children ages 9 to 16. I work full-time so between work and attending as many school functions as I can possibly fit in, I have little time to prepare "gourmet" type dishes which require a lot of preparation time. I like tasty, quick-fix meals that use ingredients that are usually in my house and don't require an extra trip to the store. When I'm not waiting on my family or working, I like to do counted cross-stitch and recently started a new hobby----quilting.
