Italian Infused Broccoli

"This is the recipe I use when steaming Broccoli. It lightly infuses the broccoli with the seasonings without adding seasoning on top after cooking. I use a tupperware microwave steamer for this recipe."

  1. This is a quick and simple recipe! I used a 10-oz package of frozen chopped broccoli, since it was in my freezer for no particular reason. An entire cup of lemon juice seemed like a lot, so I used 3/4 cup, and I'm glad I did; it was still a bit too citrusy for my taste. I used jarred minced garlic and dried sweet basil, but I didn't measure them out, just eyeballed it. It was still lovely. Made for My-3-Chefs, November 2009. Thanks for posting!

I grew up in the Midwest and from a Swedish family, so I love food. My grandmother doesn't normally measure when she cooks and I kind of picked that up from her. Most of my dishes can't be repeated due to this. I love experimenting!!
