  1. I followed directions for this Italian dressing exactly. Used the exact ingredients and proportions listed above... uh... I truly regret giving a less than stellar review... but, this was...wierd tasting. After shaking all ingredients together, it looked omnious. It bears NO resemblance to any Italian dressing I have ever had, whether commercial brand or home-made. After experimental tasting of the finished product, no one in my family would allow me to put this on their salads. (I am so so so sorry!) I'd have to say, though that HeatherDiane's idea of using red wine vinegar could make this a good bit more palatable.

  2. Very tasty and fast! I ran out of all salad dressing tonight and whipped this up in no time. I subsituted red wine vinegar as that is all I had, and fresh garlic. Yum, yum! I think it will taste even better tomorrow.

  3. I suppose that you would call this a triple header!! Since Italian isn't 1 of my favourites dressings, there wasn't any in my fridge. I give this recipe 5 stars for its convenience. I used fresh garlic & recipe #38293 Italian Blend Spice Mix for the seasonings. I then used this dressing for recipe#62192 Mushroom Veggie Salad. Thanx Lennie!

  4. I'm glad I found this recipe. My mother-in-law has been telling me I need to make homemade dressings so I tried this and it was great. Can't wait to have her try it!

  5. This dressing is single-handedly responsible for getting me and my family to not just eat salad, but to LOVE salad! I went from grudgingly serving salad once a month to serving it at least 3 times per week, and my daughter asks for seconds! I've used Heinz gourmet salad vinegar with best results (better than white wine vinegar), and I use whatever spicy mustard I have, since I never have the powder handy. I also use recipe 38293 for the Italian seasoning.
