  1. fabulous! I didn't have carrots so I used a half a small sweet potato, peeled and shredded. Also used chicken broth instead of water, and a little more allspice. Absolutely amazing with Jamaican rice and peas and pan fried jerk chicken thighs.

  3. Made this last night to go with Brown Stew Chicken and cornbread. It was fantastic. I used sliced carrot instead of shredding them. That's what my local Jamaican place does and I prefer it.
