  1. We always added a layer of vanilla pudding on top of the cake followed by the cool whip.. Best jello cake (poke), I've ever had. Mom did yellow cake mix, lime jello, vanilla pudding and cool whip. I for the kids do yellow or white cake mix, strawberry jello, vanilla pudding and then cool whip.. yum

  2. This is so easy! I love how versatile it is, you can really use homemade or any cake with any flavor jello. I did white cake with raspberry jello. I cooled the cake for 20 minutes and poured on the jello (that was fine, no need to cool all the way). Refrigerated it 4 hours then frosted with homemade whipped cream and berries. Very pretty and moist.

  3. I like to use strawberry jello and then i combine banana pudding with the cool whip for the topping.

  4. Made one for a VFW event, all sugar free ingredients and it was a huge hit! Raspberry jello. Making a cherry jello sugar free one today for my son’s birthday request. I will add a layer of vanilla pudding before adding the cool whip. Yummy!!

  5. This cake was incredible! Very light!!! I did strawberry sugar free jello, light cool whip, and put chopped up strawberries on top. Gonna be making this again and trying new flavors.
