  • Mix the corn meal in cold water and bring the water to boil. Stir continuously.
  • Cook it for about 5 minutes and add the salt, butter, paprika and chili powder. Cook it for another 5 minutes and remove it from the heat.
  • Serve in plates and crumble the feta cheese on top of it. It is best to have it warm.

  1. Yum! Being used to mamaliga, I never tried making cornmeal mush with paprika and chili. Glad I tried it, it's delicious! Instead of the butter I used ghee, otherwise followed the recipe to the letter. Thanks for sharing, this will be in my breakfast rotation now :)<br/>Made for PAC Spring 2013
     
  2. We made this for dinner tonight. Instead of adding the butter, paprika and chili in the mix, however, we roasted the spices in the melted butter and poured on top. After that, we sprinkled the crumbled feta and baked for a few minutes. Delicious!
