Kahawa - Ethiopian Coffee

ingredients
- 2 cardamom pods, lightly bruised
- 60 g ground coffee
- 1 lt water
directions
- Bring water and cardamom pods to the boil and boil 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to a low simmer and add the coffee and simmer 5 minutes Add ground ginger.
- Take of heat and strain into cups. Sweeten if desired.

I took Rita's advice and crushed the cardamom pods to add to my coffee grounds. I don't normally drink sweetened coffee but I added 1/2 packet of Splenda for a true morning treat. I used green cardamom pods as that is what I had on hand from a previous ZWT. Thanks for sharing. Made for Africa ZWT 7.
