  1. I personally thought it had a tad too much thyme otherwise it was great. Thanks.

  2. Before giving my review I have to say a big mistake was made, only half of this WONDERFUL !!! recipe was made.:)Now on to the review,I made this on 2/9/11 for the " Comfort Food Event " in the Food Photo forum. I did make a few slight changes to the recipe and they are as follows, even though I just made just half of the recipe the full amount of bacon was used( I love bacon;)).Only one can each of the beans and tomato sauce was used, along with about 2 ounces of green chilies.Since we like carrots, the full amount was used. For the green peppers, a couple of Tblsp. of freeze dried blend of red/green peppers were used and seemed to work out fine. The full amount of seasonings were used along with a bit of garlic powder. As it was cooking, the smell was just amazing and I was hoping the taste would be as good as it smelled. And we weren't dissapointed in the taste at all.The amount of seasonings were perfect. This WILL be made again. Thank you for posting and," Keep Smiling :) "

  3. This was really good! I didn't use bacon, so I just dumped all the remaining ingredients in my crockpot insert the night before & stuck it in the fridge. Woke up the next morning, took it out to warm up a bit, then put it in the crockpot, turned it on and left! Came home later that night to a YUMMY dinner. We served over white rice and everyone in the house thoroughly enjoyed. (Wishing I could give 4.5 stars to this....I very very rarely give out 5 stars at all....)

  4. A filling and hearty stew that is a nice deviation from the normal stew using kielbasa. I like that idea and it's one I"ll use again. I used regular chili beans in place of the northern per families preference. The blend of spices was perfect. <br/>Made for Crock-pot Tag in KK's forum.~

  5. We really enjoyed this, I didn't have smoke flavored kielbasa so I added a little liquid smoke. It was delish!
