Reviews

  1. A delicious, warming supper for winter that stretched a 350g lamb neck (bone in) over several meals. Paired it with colcannon (prepared with half cabbage and half chard and less butter) on some nights, and with brown rice on other nights.

  2. Sorry but these are not the correct seasonings using in Jamaican lamb neck stew being a chef and half Jamaican myself your ingredients are way off

  3. Excellent winter choice for alternative to beef dishes. This blend of spices is excellent. Sounds like a contest winner.

  4. This is EXCELLENT! Hearty, flavorful and delicious; and easy to throw together. I did not have allspice so I substituted with some ginger, cinnamon and paprika. I also added four potatoes because my son doesn't like sweet potato. This was perfect because there was more sweet potato for the rest of us. The aroma was intoxicating. I will make this dish again. Thank you.

  5. We enjoyed this very much. The wonderful aroma reminded me of my childhood home. Thanks for posting.

Tweaks

  1. Shooting for a more low carb stew. Used Rao marinara instead of tomato sauce. No sweetener. Less salt and pepper. Used chicken bone broth instead of water and radishes instead of potatoes.

  2. I left out the allspice (I didn't have any), added a chopped Granny Smith apple, and used red wine instead of water. Amazing flavor; I'll definitely be making this again.

  3. Teaspoon of mixed herbs instead of a pinch of all spice.
