- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 cups chicken stock (gluten free) or 2 cups beef stock (gluten free)
directions
- In a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter.
- Whisk in the cornstarch and continue to cook for one minute.
- Add the stock gradually, whisking the entire time to avoid lumps.
- Reduce heat and cook over medium until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Taste test and add seasonings according to personal taste. Salt, pepper and thyme are suggested seasonings.

First time making gravy. Used my own stock from chicken made in the oven. Then, I added the ingredients as instructed, and it came out delicious! So happy. I am cuban, so the chicken stock was seasoned with Cuban seasoning. The butter and the cornstarch brought it to another level. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can make this for pork, red meat, chicken and turkey. Everyone loved it with the white rice and the beans. Again, thanks for making my life easier.
