"this seems to be a newer version of the doughnut more instructions are given but still no flour amounts given I'm guessing 3 is a Czech doughnut"

ingredients

1 cup potato, mashed
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons lard, melted, she says you can use margarine
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk
¹⁄₂ teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
¹⁄₂ teaspoon nutmeg
3 cups flour

directions

sift at last 1 cup of the flour with the dry ingredients before adding to the potatoes and rest of ingredients
add enough flour to handle dough
roll out about 1/4 inch and cut with cutter
and fry in deep fat.
