  • Simmer trimmed green beans in salted water for approximately 30-45 minutes until tender. Drain and place in a dish. Place the rest of the ingredients (excluding the almonds) in a pan and cook at a medium heat for 2 minutes while stirring. Next, add the almonds, stirring briefly to coat them. Pour contents of pan over green beans and ensure they are well coated. Serve warm.

  1. We enjoyed these beans, the seasoning was really good. I reduced the amount of cloves and paprika - the first because it gives me heartburn and the second because I don't care for it. The cumin with the garlic and just a little bit of the other spices and a generous sprinkle of kosher salt was just right for us. I used frozen haricots verts in pace of the fresh beans. Made for "My Food Odyssey" - Algeria

  2. This just didn't appeal to me personally, altho husband did eat it. I found that I don't care for the taste of cloves and green beans together, altho I like both separately. I mixed in the almonds before serving. ZWT6
