ingredients

  • 1 12 lbs lean ground beef
  • 3 slices soft white bread, torn into very tiny pieces
  • 1 cup V8 vegetable juice
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package Lipton Onion Soup Mix (do not substitute)
  • 1 -2 minced garlic clove

directions

  • preheat oven to 350F, mix ingredients thoroughly, press into small roasting pan or loaf pan.
  • bake uncovered for 1 1/2 hours.

  4. This is a very easy to make and back recipe. Family loved it.. and so did I.. I used to microwave to cook this and I couldnt believe how fast it was .. I spread ketcup over top and browned in over 10 min cause kids like it that way.
     
  5. An equal volume of rolled oats can be used instead of bread, and the mixture cooked in a microwave oven. Form the loaf into a donut shape, or use a microwave bunt pan. My version is done in 16 minutes on high, but you better watch it the first time.
