  • In a blender-- blend avacados.
  • In a medium pan boil tomatoes, tomatillas and garlic for 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes add tomatoes, tomatillas, garlic and sour cream to blender and blend for 5 minutes or until creamy smooth.

  1. This is one of those great sauces you get at the Mexican restaurants...This is great! I had to make some adjustments though.. I couldn't find green tomatoes so I increase the number of tomatillas. Also, the above recipe doesn't say when to add the jalapenos so I cut them open, seeded them and boiled along with the tomatoes & garlic, peeling the outer skin before I threw them in the blender. After blending, the sauce wasn't hot enough for me so I seeded a raw jalapeno, chopped fine, then blended into the sauce. PERFECT!!
