- 1 deep dish pie shell, sprinkled with cornmeal
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1⁄4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup sweet onion, chopped
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can corn, drained
- 1⁄4 cup cornmeal
- 1⁄2 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 1⁄4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces salsa
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1 1⁄2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 egg
- 1⁄4 cup milk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
directions
- Brown and drain hamburger,green pepper and onion.
- Mix with the next seven ingredients.
- Pour into unbaked deep dish pie crust that has been sprinkled with cornmeal.
- Bake at 425°F for 25 minutes.
- Take out of oven and put topping on (the last five ingredients).
- Bake about five more minutes.
- Cool and slice.
