  1. Set oven to 350.
  2. Cream Butter and sugar. Add the syrup and eggs. Add together the sifted dry ingredients. Work into a stiff dough.
  3. Roll 1/4" or greater on a floured board. Cut into shapes and bake for about 10 minutes. Leave 1" spacing between cookies.
  4. A nice variation is to add the finely grated peel of 1/2 orange.
