Moist Turkey Meatloaf

"My kids don't like meatloaf but they love this! It is wonderfully moist and flavorful. This is from the Stonyfield Farm web site. When I am short on time, I skip the saute the onion step and just mix it all together - tastes delicious!"

  1. Great flavor and the house smells amazing! I experimented with the food processor on this and found the texture to be too fine. But the flavor is fabulous!!

  2. I liked this basic recipe. Next time (and there will be a next time-MA Hiker), I will add some herbs of choice--rosemary, sage and/or thyme--with an emphasis on rosemary to boost the flavors. This makes great sandwiches the next day.

  3. This is my favorite go-to recipe and both of my kids love it. I make mini meatloaves in muffin cups, so they take only about 10 minutes to cook and leftovers are super easy to freeze.

  4. Made this for the ABC Healthy Choice game. I should have paid more attention to the previous reviews as we found it a little bland for our taste. Next time I will add some green bell pepper and maybe some chili powder. It was moist as we don't like over-done meatloaf. Thanks for posting this healthy recipe.

  5. This is super good and moist! I added 2 finely diced carrots to the onion/garlic mix and sauteed all in a little butter & olive oil. I used more pepper and added some chili powder. I used dried parsley since I didn't have fresh. And I only had vanilla fat free yogurt and used that. I also mixed a little ketchup & brown sugar and spread over top before baking. This is now my favorite meatloaf! Yum-O!!

I have been a member of recipezaar and food.com for years. This is definitely my go-to place for recipes and love that I can have all my individual cookbooks to sort and store recipes. ? I like to experiment when I cook and find that I rarely follow a recipe as it is written. I am also pretty health conscious and try to cook low-fat for regular everyday meals (you can't skimp on the rich stuff for holiday meals & treats!). I also avoid processed foods and use fresh wholesome ingredients whenever possible.
