  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Butter an 8" square pan. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Melt the chocolate and shortening in a double boiler over warm, not boiling, water.
  4. Remove from heat and beat in the eggs, honey, and vanilla.
  5. Stir in the dry ingredients and nuts and beat until well blended.
  6. Spread in the prepared pan and bake 25-30 minutes. Cool in the pan and cut into squares.
