  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cabbage, kielbasa, potatoes and water. Transfer to a 9x13 inch baking dish and bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

  1. We sometimes use kielbasa in our version of this but we boil it and call it "boiled dinner". Also serve with carrots, usually cooked separately because they would add a sweet flavor to the rest. Sometimes add rutabaga. It's quick,hearty and a comforting nostalgic meal when it's cold out. When ham isn't too expensive we'll use that.
