  • Boil Sugar, Milk, Cocoa, Margarine and Peanut Butter for 1 minute.
  • Stir in Vanilla and Oats.
  • Drop by spoonfull onto waxed paper, that is covering a cookie sheet.
  • Place in fridge till set up.

  1. We used to make these as kids at home all the time and ate them up fast as you please. I'd forgotten how to make them over the years, and since Mom's now passed away, had no way of knowing how to make them again...until now. Thank you so much for posting this delicious and easy recipe. Takes me right back to being a kid again. We also made them without the peanut butter; or left the cocoa out, and added more peanut butter. :)

  3. I had a friend who use to make these when I was growing up. Could never remember the recipe! These are so good. She makes them with the coconut- which husband does not like so this was perfect! Can't wait til my twins are older and they can have these!
     
  4. This was nice memory of my childhood. My mother used to make these all the time. The cookies were a little dry, so next time I make them I will cut down the oatmeal just a bit. I also only used 1/2 butter, I was not sure how much to use exactly.
