ingredients
- 3 lbs lamb, chunked
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- margarine for browning sauce
directions
- Coat meat with flour. Saute garlic and onion in a small amount of margarine . Heat more more margarine in a heavy skillet and brown meat on all sides. Transfer to large pot. Add sauteed onions and garlic to pot. Season with salt, pepper, and curry powder. Add 1 cup hot water and bring to a boil.Add more water if necessary to cover meat. Cover, and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes. Check seasonings. It should be quite strong.
- Serve hot.
