- 1 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 1⁄2 cups milk
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- hot sauce, to taste (I use Tabasco)
- 1 lb lump crabmeat
- sherry wine
directions
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan; add flour and stir until creamy.
- Add milk, seasonings, and crabmeat.
- Bring to a slow boil.
- Add sherry wine; simmer.
