I had some homemade apple butter that was going bad and needed to be used up. I decided to give this recipe a try. It was totally delicious! I had to use some steel cut oats mixed with quick oats because I didn’t have what the recipe called for and it still turned out. I also added some walnuts on top for extra crunch. Warmed it in the microwave with some whip cream on top for a tasty fall treat.

This was pretty good. I made this in a 8 inch square pan as I don't have a 9 inch. I used 1/2 cup of honey instead of the sugar. This made the mixture more gooey than crumbly, but I used it anyways. It took about ten minutes longer for the top to get brown, maybe because it was thicker, maybe because it was honey, I'm not sure. The oatmeal mixture turned out really yummy. I don't think I added enough apple butter and cinnamon as I could barely taste either. But I love this idea and plan on making it again! Thanks!
