'ohana Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes--Walt Disney World

"Disney World has a Polynesian restarant called 'Ohana that is one of our favorite places to eat there. My kids begged me to make 'Ohana Potatoes after we came home from our last trip. It took me a year to find the recipe but I finally did. We usually cut back on the cream and put in more cheese, but any way you make this, it's GREAT!"

  1. These were wonderful! I made these as directed except that I ran out of heavy cream, so used about 1/3 cup of 1/2 and 1/2 to reach the 1 cup. These were very easy to make using my mandoline, until it broke, lol. Simple and tasty. Thanks Chef Suzy!. Made for I Recommend tag.

  4. Sooo incredibly DELICIOUS!!! On a whim I made these instead of the other scalloped potatoes I was going to make and well, let's just say we have a new family favorite! I had some left-over baked ham in the fridge from the nite before, so I made 2 dishes - 1 with the ham and 1 without. The dish with the ham was also onion free and made for the guys who don't like "seeing" onions in anything. The 2nd dish was made as per directions. Both were made with a combo of heavy cream and whole milk. Everyone agreed that the dish with the onions was better, but both were devoured. Served this with a nice salad with recipe#292023 and recipe#110111 - yum!!! The only thing missing were the tiki torches. Thank you for posting this - I love Disney but have always missed out on 'Ohana - now I don't have to. Thanks Chef SuzyQ.

  5. Ooooh...my husband is going to be SO EXCITED! We ate ourselves silly at 'Ohana last July and these were one our favorites. I'll post the actual review when I've officially made them. If you find the wing recipe, let me know. We've been craving them and the bread puding ever since! My mom has that recipe, though, so I'll have to put it up here.
