  1. This was one of the most distinguished and satisfying lasagnas I have had. The variety of cheeses combined with a stove-top cream come together in a flavorful burst of palate-pleasing surprises! The actual prep time and cook time of this recipe was far easier than I had expected and the ingredients should all be readily available anywhere. I chose to omit the marina sauce and just go for a cheese lasagna with only the sun dried tomatos. However, a few of my guests adore marina, so all I did was serve a side bowl of marina sauce with the lasagna and those who desired the marina could simply drizzle their servings. A wonderful recipe. Thanks so much!

  2. A marvelous dish with excellent flavour. I took heed of the fact many commented on the lack of white sauce and doubled the recipe. I had just enough. This will become a special treat in my house. I found another recipe site with this recipe and found that the recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of fontina to be devided evenly and spread between the layers of the lasagna with mozzarella. http://www.grouprecipes.com/35633/olive-garden-5-cheese-lasagna.html. I only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because in my heart healthy home this recipe is going to be a once in a while dish.

  3. Very good. Kids gobbled it up, too! NOTE THAT THE FONTINA CHEESE ISN'T IN THE INGREDIENT LIST. It was delicious even without! :) Thanks for sharing!

  5. I decided to make this lasagna because it had the most interesting and creative ingredient list I could find. I am still impressed with the ingredient selection. However, I am giving this lasagna a low rating primarily because the recipe instructions were written very poorly. It was confusing! For example, at the top it suggests adding meat (which I think is a good idea) but gives no details about where to add it. One other suggestion I have is to ADD MORE SALT, especially if you will not be using sausage. My lasagna turned out very bland due to lack of salt/flavor.

Tweaks

  1. This recipe is fantastic! I made it using the type of lasagna noodles you don't have to precook and just doubled the cream sauce to make sure it did not dry out. It was so quick and easy this way and tasted great. If you must have meat, I would suggest you replace the marinara with a hearty meat tomato sauce, but either way this is yummy!

Thanks for checking out my about me page. Jeff is my husband of 8 years. We have 1 dog that someone dropped off at the side of the road and I brought home, and she rules the house. I love dogs, and hate to see a dog tied up and forgotten. I love to grow different kinds of tomatoes from seed to can, and give the "extras" away (when I'm working and don't have time to can).
