  1. papaya is a fascinating fruit

  2. Really like the flavor! It is real simple, and like it says it only takes 5 minutes(maybe more depending on how long it takes you to peal the papaya). Instead of milk(don't like milk) I used coconut. Coconut milk is very simple to make (except for getting the meat out >.<) you just brake the meat up and put in a blender and cover with water, then you bland it then all you do is squeeze the liquid out. If you let it sit for a little while the water will separate from the coconut cream, then just scoop that cream out and do with it what ever you please(the cream is the best part)

  3. Taste even better if you use fresh pineapple and a little vanilla yogurt and some flax seeds

  4. I have to agree with dukeswalker, I purchased a papaya and did not like it. Rather than be wasteful though I looked for a recipe and came upon this winner! Perfecto!

  5. Yum! I bought a papaya because I was determined to like it....sadly, I still dont. SO instead of tossing it, I decided to try and salvage it - this was YUMMY! :)

Tweaks

  1. A great way to use up the paypaya you bought for another recipe! I used Vanilla Soy yogurt instead of milk, bottled lime juice and unsweetened pineapple juice. Also used a rather ripe banana and didn't use the honey. Using crushed ice didn't jam my blender and it all came out wonderful!!

I moved out here many, many years ago from Ottawa, Canada - so I am blessed in having two wonderful heritages! I suffer from compulsive obsessive behaviour with regard to food and my psychiatrist thought it would be a good idea to find a 'society' where many have the same problem and try to find a cure. So far, I've copied a couple of thousand recipes from this site and my psychiatrist has thrown the towel in and refuses to answer the phone when I call. What did I do wrong? Got 3 kids that keep me on the go - 10 and under at this point (2008) - I may not get round to updating this for a few years, so you'll have to do your own maths. I teach English full-time and Greek Cookery part-time. I would like to make the cooking part of it full-time and the English Grammar part of it part-time. That's all for now.
