  1. I've made this for 2 past Fourth of July's and boy oh boy is it a crowd pleaser! I used a V8 tropical mango blend for the juice, peach schnapps instead of the brandy, and refrained from using the 7-Up. I scooped it into cone shaped cups (that you use for shaved ice) and added a straw. The flavors blend together nicely, it cools you off quickly, and within a few minutes you can't help but feel rosey-cheeked and smiley. Rita, thank you for this recipe!

  2. Holy Cow! This Punch should be called "Packs a HUGE Punch Passion Punch"! I made it ahead for a party this upcoming weekend and put it in the freezer, but wanted to try it first. I was watching the Calgary Flames play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight (they won!) and thought I'd have a drink. Then I had a 2nd and a third and ... well, you get the drift. I froze it to a slush and then scooped out a couple *heaping* tablespoons of the slush into a large glass and added 7 up. Ok, maybe it was 3 heaping tablespoons on the third and fourth! Swish, swish, stir, stir. It is really tasty and it goes down VERY smooth! Maybe TOO smooth!Maybe I should have only added one heaping tablespoon because my husband was laughing at my slurred speech! lol I didn't have passion fruit juice so I used a Juice called Spring Blend with OJ, Banana and Strawberry that I got at Costco. Any kind of mixed fruit juice will work well, but I wouldn't use imitation fruit drinks. I also used fresh pineapple that I had leftover that I whipped in the blender leaving them still a bit chunky. The alcohol portion is a bit expensive, especially the peach brandy, but I still have tons left despite my over indulging. You don't need alot in the glass, so this recipe will go a long way and you will have many, many happy-go-lucky guests at your summer BBQ or 4th of July Party. Make sure you take away their car keys before you serve this! This would also work if you froze it to a slush, pour into a punch bowl and add 7 up. However, I went for the more concentrated version and my head is now paying the price!
