  • 1 quart peach, drained, reserving syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup boiling reserved liquid plus water
  • Batter

  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 14 cup sugar
  • milk (enough to make like pancake batter or soft dough)

directions

  • Line baking pan with peaches.
  • Mix next 6 ingredients and pour over fruit.
  • Drop dough by spoonfuls over mixture and bake 375-400°F for 30 minutes.

I am married and have three children ages 9 to 16. I work full-time so between work and attending as many school functions as I can possibly fit in, I have little time to prepare "gourmet" type dishes which require a lot of preparation time. I like tasty, quick-fix meals that use ingredients that are usually in my house and don't require an extra trip to the store.
