- 3 cups sugar
- 3⁄4 cup butter
- 2⁄3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup peanut butter (recipe calls for jiffy)
- 7 ounces marshmallow creme
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 cup nuts, chopped (variety is your choice)
directions
- In 2 1/2 quart saucepan combine sugar, butter and evaporated milk.
- Bring to a full boil over medium heat stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
- Continue boiling over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add peanut butter and marshmallow creme stirring until melted.
- Add vanilla and nuts.
- Beat until well blended.
- Spread into buttered 13 x 9 inch pan.
- Cool to room temperature then refrigerate until firm.
- Cut into squares.
