1. I have made this several* times now, and make substitutions with on hand items (nuts, flax, pumpkin seeds, dried fruits & berries, etc.). Very easy to go organic or 'raw' with this recipe (I used puffed millet instead of 'rice' cereal). I added a few Tablespoons of molasses to give it more 'glue.' I always keep it in 'granola' form & take a cupful to eat on my way to work. A great healthy, flexible recipe.

  2. 5 stars for the flavor of these, I agree that they are wonderful! I'm giving it 4 stars because I had the same problem that the first reviewer did with them not holding together very well. I made a full recipe and used 1/2 c of honey, I will try 3/4 c honey next time as Sara 76 recommends. Thanks for sharing!

  3. These are fantastic! I love them, as do the kids! they are quick and easy to make, full of good stuff, and so tasty! I used 3/4C honey, based on the previous review, and they turned out perfect. I used a large drinking glass as a rolling pin, to press the mixture down firmly, and and I popped it in the fridge for an hour before I cut it. Thankyou for sharing such a fabulous recipe! 4. The taste of these were heavenly! It was hard to stop eating it. However, they didn't stay together very well, too crumbly. I did, however, half the recipe because it made too much for so maybe the wet/dry ratio doesn't work halving. What I did was just crumble it all up and use it like granola. I'm going to keep tinkering with this to get it to hold together better because they were delicious!!

PLEASE RATE MY RECIPES!! :) My husband and I have been happily married for six years and we have two amazing children! I stay home with our son and daughter and stay busy in with local mom's groups and activities. I am a certified childbirth educator (bradleybirth.com) and also teach and supervise the Aqua Aerobic department at one of our local gyms. I am somewhat of a health nut/hippee and distribute whole food suppliments (morganlovesjuiceplus.com), but I love to bake and to share my baked goods. There is no better compliment than when some one takes a bite of my very own Chocolate Chip Cookies and says they are the best they've ever tasted! (Sorry, it's a secret recipe!) I would love to open my own bakery someday... I like to cook for my family too, and have become exceptionally motivated since our son was born. I have been finding myself getting swept away reading cookbooks (while the kids are sleeping). :) I am really enjoying trying new recipes (and so is my husband) and I think I am becomming a "Foodie" so Recipezaar is simply heaven for me! | <a href="http://www.facebook.com/business/dashboard/" title="Miracles in the Making Childbirth Education and Support!" target="_TOP" style="font-family: "lucida grande",tahoma,verdana,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-variant: normal; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; color: #3B5998; text-decoration: none;">Miracles in the Making Childbirth Education and Support
