  • Tear Basil leaves off stems, rinse, dry and set aside.
  • toast pine nuts in a frying pan over medium heat, moving constantly to keep from burning. Toast them until they become fragrant and slightly browned.
  • Put pine nuts in a food processor. Add Parmesan and garlic clove. Blend until all ingredients are combined.
  • Add Salt, pepper and nutmeg (optional).
  • With machine turned back on, slowly add Basil.
  • Turn off food processor and stir mixture, blend for a few more seconds.
  • With the machine turned on again, slowly drizzle in Olive Oil.
