48 sausages
ingredients
- 2 (8 ounce) cans Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
- 48 fully cooked cocktail smoked sausage links
directions
- Heat oven to 375.
- Separate dough into 8 triangles.
- Cut each triangle lengthwise into thirds.
- Place sausage on shortest side and roll to opposite points.
- Bake at 375 on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown.
- Serve warm.

Always the first to fly off the appetizer table! -
These are a never fail quick & popular appetizer. My DD & DH's favorite. We have coined them "Teenie Weenies" in our house as far back as I can remember. For quicker preparation (can it get any easier?), lay out the crescent dough and "mend" the precut triangles together. Take a pizza cutter and cut in retangular strips, lay a "weenie" on each rectangle and roll them up individually. We love to eat them plain, with Kraft Spicy Honey BBQ sauce or with spicy brown mustard. Tip: make ahead & "hold" in a foil lined crock pot on warm setting. They go FAST :P -
Just made a batch for Superbowl...this is the same recipe I've used for years! Classic...:) -
Talk about a walk back to my childhood! They were as delicious as I remembered.

I made these a couple of weeks ago. I used pastry dough instead of crescent rolls and fill the smoked sausages with cheese. They were so greasy and the cheese and grease were running all over the pan. They all disappeared though. What did I do wrong? Thank you, Miss Hicks

Simple and always recognizable, my daughters had a great time making these. We ended up getting refrigerator biscuits instead of crescents, but used 1/2 biscuit per smokie and it worked out fine, if perhaps not as flaky of a crust as the crescent dough would have given to the recipe. The girls were thrilled to have their own appy's at the party! ;o)

I am married and mother of 3 wonderful children. I have a 21 year old daughter and 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl. The picture above is of my granddaughter Destiny born April 5, 2007. She was a preemie and weighed 1 lb. 14 oz. at birth. She spent 73 days in NICU in the hospital She has came a long way and was 11 months and a little over 19 pounds when the picture was taken. She shows no problems at all now and is truly a miracle and I thank God for her. She is already Nana's little girl. I have a wonderful husband who is very honest with me about any dish I prepare. He is my best critic as I am sure most husbands tend to be. I love trying new recipes and love to cook. I love Taste of Home cookbooks. I like to do counted cross-stitch and recently I have rediscovered a lost love of mine; reading, especially mysteries. I can get lost in a good book for hours. Weather permitting my hubby and I like to ride on his Harley. Nothing like it! If I had a month off with no responsibilities I would travel. Love the beach!!! My dream is to retire and for my hubby and I to travel to all the places I would like to see.
