  1. Whip together first 5 ingredients, salt and pepper, and 1/2 cup onions.
  2. Spread potatoes over bottom and up sides of 8 x 12 inch baking dish to make shell.
  3. Bake uncovered, for 25 minutes at 350*.
  4. Cook broccoli and drain.
  5. Arrange in potato shell.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese and the rest of the french fried onions.
  7. Bake 5 minutes longer.
