  • 750 g apples, cored and sliced
  • 60 g butter
  • 50 g dried white breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Note

  • you can substitute cinnamon for 50gr chopped almonds (or use both if preferred)

directions

  • Butter and ovenproof dish and arrange in it the layers of apples, breadcrumbs, thin flakes of butter, sugar and either the cinnamon or chopped almonds, finishing with a layer of breadcrumbs.
  • Bake at 180c, for about 30 minutes or until the apples are tender.
  • Serve warm with cream or custard.
