  • Cream together shortening, eggs, pumpkin, and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
  • Pour into a greased 10 in tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Icing:.
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese, softened.
  • 1 stick margarine, softened.
  • 2 t. vanilla.
  • 1 box confectioner sugar.
  • Beat together all ingredients until smooth. Ice the pound cake.
