- 1⁄2 cup Crisco
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, unbeaten
- 2 cups sifted cake flour
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3⁄4 cup milk

FROSTING
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- light cream
- 1 dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
directions
- Cake directions: Combine shortening, salt and vanilla. Add sugar gradually and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Sift flour and baking powder together three times. Add small amount of flour to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition until smooth.
- Pour batter into two greased 8-inch layer pans or a bundt pan. Bake in a moderate oven 375F or 25 minutes, bundt pan for 45 minutes at 350°F
- Frosting Directions: Sift confectioners' sugar. Add light cream to reach frosting consistency. Add a dash of salt and vanilla.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
