  1. This was delicious! I scaled it for 2 people, used a good burgundy and served with mashed potatoes (as recommended) & broccoli. Next time, I'll broil the bacon, then dice & add at step 11 - mainly to reduce fat & because I like bacon real crispy. Thanx Marli!

  2. This was very good; even the kids liked it. I cooked the bacon separately to reduce the fat as another reviewer suggested. I used canned mushrooms and dried thyme since I didn't have any fresh, and thickened the sauce a little with cornstarch just before serving. The wine I used was a cabernet sauvignon. Served with mashed potatoes, peas and wheat rolls. It was great to come up with a yummy meal with ingredients that I had on hand, thanks for the recipe!

  3. Excellent dish, my friends were impressed. Used baby bellas, were great. I served this with Mimi's roasted garlic mashed potatoes and it was awesome.

  4. The whole family loved this and it was simple to cook! Terrific Marli.

  5. The recipe was easy and delicious. My picky sister even ate it up.
