Quick & Easy Baked Beans

"These beans are just what the name says - quick to prepare and easy to eat! Please note that the cook time can be only 10 minutes if you microwave these. Also they are vegetarian if you leave out the worcestershire sauce."

Reviews

  1. Made no changes and they were perfect! My DH loved them and he`s a bean expert!

  2. These beans were real good! I brought the dish to a fellowship dinner at church and everybody enjoyed! Thanks!

  3. I usually make baked beans using dry beans that need to be soaked, but I wanted baked beans to go with our 'first cookout of the year', on very short notice for DH's birthday dinner celebration. These fit the bill perfectly and were delicious. I had extremely short notice, only had one onion left that I needed for the potato salad and not enough time to run to the grocery store, so I substituted rehydrated minced onions (white and green onions) for the chopped onions called for in the recipe. It worked out great! Thank you for a great 'emergency' recipe Junebug!

  4. A no fuss baked bean recipe that everyone will love. It isn't too sweet at all with just the right amount of smoke. A great side dish for so many summer meals.

  5. These beans are not only quick and easy, but VERY good. I did add little smokie sausages.

Tweaks

  1. Lightly dredge thin cut pork chops in flour and brown on both sides. Add to beans before baking. Sends it over the top and you have a one pot meal.

  2. Cooked it in saucepan on the stove for about 15 minutes.

I am a wife, Mother and Grandmother. I am a native Texan and can't imagine living anywhere else. My Grandmother taught me to cook before I could see the top of the counter. I remember standing on a stool in her kitchen learning to make pancakes. My Mother loved to cook and it seems she was cooking (or cleaning) most of the time. So those are the two ladies responsible for nurturing my love of cooking! <a href="http://s245.photobucket.com/albums/gg77/monji74/?action=view&current=groupie1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg77/monji74/groupie1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> As you can see I cook and review recipes more than I post them. That's because I am a pinch of this and a dollop of that cook and it's hard to put those recipes down on paper. <img src="http://www.satsleuth.com/cooking/Swap14.JPG"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/untitled.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/200_artistrichardneuman-art-prints_.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting">
