Realemon Lemon Squares
"I absolutely adore lemon bars, but unfortunately most recipes are super sweet with a fake lemony flavor. This recipe, from my mother's Realemon Recipe book, is a sweet-tart version of lemon squares. In my opinion, you can't get better than this."

For the crust
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar

For the filling
- 4 eggs (beaten)
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons ReaLemon juice
directions
- Cream together ingredients for crust and press into 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Mix together filling ingredients and pour over first layer.
- Bake 25 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm.

These little gems are very good! I had lost the recipe years ago and am very happy to see it posted. I had to reduce oven temp. and timing slightly as I used glass cookware and my older oven demands it, lol! Thank you for posting a favourite that doesn't always use chocolate! -
