¹⁄₂ cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
¹⁄₂ teaspoon salt
³⁄₄ cup sugar
1 ¹⁄₂ cups flour
¹⁄₂ cup red-hot candies
2 -3 drops red food coloring (optional)

directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix butter, egg, vanilla, food coloring, baking powder, salt and sugar until combined. Add flour and red hots. Mix together. Form into 1 inch balls and place on baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy!
