ingredients
- 2 cups Minute Rice
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 14 ounces chicken broth
- 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
- 1 cup Grape-nuts cereal
directions
- Brown minute rice, maragarine and onion in pan.
- Add chicken broth and mushrooms.
- When rice is done;add grape nuts.
- Enjoy!

This was really good. I didn't add as much margarine but the lack of it didn't make a difference in the texture or the taste. Even my fil who hates mushrooms loved it. The "secret" ingredient is tasty, and not crunchy. What a great quick, different pilaf. Thanks Missjuliee for another good healthy addition for my cookbook.

Oh, also I have a husband, and 2 girls- I call them "night and day". You all know what I'm talking about.
I live in west michigan a few miles from the sand dunes which I love to climb, just beautiful. I enjoy walking (well, half enjoy; half I have to do to work off my favorite foods), reading (robin cook,dean koontz,Thomas Cook and such) and watching tv. Yes, I'll admit it, I LOVE TV.
